Perception Nail Lacquer

I received these amazing indie polishes in a swap last week and have to review them for you guys! They come from Amy at Perception Nail Lacquer . She has great customer service on top of her beautiful polishes. I recieved three polishes, Wicked, Purple Heart, and Martian Farts. Martian Farts is probably my favorite, I love the name! So lets start with a bottle shot. I have finally gotten a decent picture without flash.
First up is Wicked. I had almost complete coverage in one coat but of course went for two. Its a beautiful dark purple with holo glitter. Not sure if I can call it a scattered holo but I think it is. Just not in my pictures because they are only indoors. It has a great dry time and goes on very smoothly.
Next is Purple Heart. This one was a surprise in the swap. Its a purple jelly like polish with lots of holo glitter. It is so beautiful I can't seem to capture it though. You will see VNL in the photos but you couldn't see it in person. It goes on great and was pretty much opaque in two coats.
Finally we have Martian Farts. Don't you love the name? This is my favorite because I love green and holo. I have absolutely nothing like this. Its a beautiful shimmery green with holo glitter. I would definitely call this a scattered holo but the world of holographic glitter is very complicated so don't quote me lol. The application is just as nice as the rest and in two coats is perfect. I also tried three coats after the photos and I like that better I think. Makes it even greener. Again photos don't do it justice.
You can contact Amy at her facebook page and in her etsy store And also check this out my great friend made me these for my indie reviews. I gave this one five stars :)

Starry Earth Review

A relatively new thing on Polished to a T is going to be indie reviews. Yes I know you see a hundred a day but its very exciting for me! So first up on the list is Starry Earth. Shes a great brand with all sorts of different polishes, including a Princess line that you should really check out. The only thing I wish she would change is putting her name on the minis. So I picked two for review, Cosmic Space and 70% Chance of Rain. First up is Cosmic Space.
Cosmic Space is a beautiful dark blue polish with holographic glitter and holographic stars. If you have been reading my Facebook posts lately you will know I am obsessed with stars. I am pleased to say that I did not have to fish for a single star in this polish! And that is a huge accomplishment. It goes on smoothly and dries very quickly. It also dries slightly matte so this is two coats of Cosmic Space with two coats of China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat. Two coats of top coat was merely to even out the stars. I will definitely be buying a full size bottle of this.
70% Chance of Rain is a very light blue polish with a golden and holo is some lights shimmer. I love this polish. Very fitting considering the tropical storm we have headed our way. It goes on very smoothly and in 3 coats I had full coverage. There is slight VNL in the photos but you can't see it in real life.
You can buy her polishes here in her Etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/StarryEarth

Hurricane Party!

Okay maybe not but a little rain inspired nail art will do. So I know this is technically a paint drip mani but with all the rain we're expecting from this hurricane (Yay Florida!) this blue drippiness was perfect for the occasion. I got my first Julep box the other day and absolutely fell in love with Claire. So here we have Two coats of Milani White on the Spot with the paint drips being Julep Claire. I used a small brush and dotting tool to create this and was inspired by a video I saw. I wish I could remember the name but if you know it leave a comment and I'll edit this. If you're anywhere near the hurricanes path stay save and enjoy this mani everybody!
Oh and a side note there will be lots of new blog posts coming soon. Tell me what you like to see in a review in the comments :)

Klout Essie Perk

I finally qualified for the Klout Essie Perk. I received it so quickly! And it was not out of the box for ten minutes before it was already on my nails. I got No Place Like Chrome. It is gorgeous. This reminds me of the old Sally Hansen Chrome nail makeups. This metallic has a great formula and covered in one coat but I did two so you couldn't see the ridges. This is my first Essie and definitely not my last. I can't say enough about the formula it dries so quickly! I really wanted Blue Rhapsody but you know if you want it they'll send you the ugliest one :) I really love this silver though. Okay enough blabbering. Here's the photos! *They are all before clean up I'm sorry for the mess but the after clean up pics were awful*

Feeling Mysterious?

I received my first Orly weeks ago and tried it on and then never did a post about it! This is Orly Mysterious Curse. Well since my first pics were terrible I redid it. Now for starters I loved this movie Dark Shadows. Yes I know everybody but me hated it. It was old Johnny Depp not Pirate Depp. SO the story line is a little stupid. Now the Orly collection was just awful but I love me a duochrome so this is beautiful. And I even like Buried Alive but the mani turned out terrible so it didn't make it to this post.
Application of this is great opaque in two coats. I have heard that people have problems with it but I don't at all.
I really need help with some new ideas for the blog so if you wouldn't mind leaving me a comment with what you would like to see please do. Have a good day loves :)

Oh My Stars!

I have been on the hunt for star polish for ages now. And yet again my wonderful friend Jen got it no problem. Think I'm just gonna move to Michigan. She finds everything. Fergie Wet n Wild Hollywood Walk of Fame is an adorable multi colored star polish. Now it is a pain to put on. You definitely have to fish for the stars but it comes with the territory. Overall I love it because well its stars! Enjoy the pictures. Its placed stars over 2 coats of Tip Top nails Noir.

My first indie

So I received two indies the other day but this one I opened first so I will call it my first :) The wonderful Jen from Jen's Nail Files swapped it with me. It is Meta'metics Water Tribe. So everyone knows by now that I love blue and rainbows. Of course I was going to fall in love with a blue holo. It went on smooth and in two coats was perfect. I am so sad this polish may be discontinued. Someone please find a spectraflair distributor! Onto the pictures! Bottle Shot! Look at that sexy bottle :)

Tip Top Review #2

This is the continuation of my Tip Top Nails South Africa polish review. I really think that Joan was stalking my page because these two are totally me!. They are Atomic Green and Noir. This time they will be judged on only 3 criteria. Brush quality, formula, and dry time. Noir and Atomic Green
First up Noir. It is just your basic black but its a wonderful two coat black. Brush quality: Brushes are all consistently perfect. Formula: Smooth, no dragging, full coverage in two coats. Dry time: No dry time issues! Super quick this time.
Atomic Green. I saved the best for last. This was my absolute favorite. Its a chromy blue/green and just totally me. Brush quality: Consistently good. Formula smooth and no brush strokes visible. Covers in one coat but a more vibrant color in two coats. Dry time: Super fast.
This conclude my first review. I hope not my last this was so much fun. I also want to thank everybody at Tip Top nails for giving me this opportunity.

Tip Top Review #1!

I contacted Tip Top Nails South Africa a few weeks ago about doing a review and Joan was so sweet to let me do one. This is the link to their Facebook page: So I decided to judge each polish by five criteria: Bottle shape, brush quality, formula, dry time, and customer service. This will be a review of the first two, Marshmallow Bunny and French Kiss.
Marshmallow Bunny Bottle Shape: I love these bottles I have nothing like them Brush Quality: Fabulous brush no stray strands Formula: Excellent, goes on in two smooth coats Dry Time: Was rather long so I topped it with Seche Vite and it was perfect Customer Service: Super quick delivery
French Kiss Bottle Shape: Same great shape Brush Quality: Consistent brushes in each bottle both perfect Formula: Very sheer, three coats still visible nail line Dry Time: Same drying issue so a coat of Seche made it perfect Customer Service: Same package same quick delivery

Military Love

We had a friend come home on leave from Afghanistan this weekend and we had several ridiculous(headache inducing)parties to celebrate. But before all this celebrating took place I decided to do some nail art to commemorate his branch of the military. The Army! So I started with two coats of Sinful Colors Envy and then topped it with a coat of Sinful Colors Call you later. Now when I purchased these I did it on purpose because I though they would look great together. They look good but the green glitters get a little lost. I'm sure I will find a color it goes over nicely though. Well here's my little salute to the military. Enjoy and don't forget to pay respect to your service men and women!

Sinful Junkie

I'm sure you all remember the Sinful drama that happened right around the time of their big Walgreens sale. Well I hit the 99 cent sale pretty hard online because I found a 15% off coupon. I ended up with 17 colors! I tried to get every single glitter bomb they had. Well this is one of my favorites Nail Junkie. First off love the name, secondly love the formula goes on smoothly and with a little top coat is very smooth. I tried it over Rise and Shine but it just didn't pop so I put it over Milani Black Swift and just wow! The pictures do not do it justice because of horrible lighting issues. Otherwise now as blown bulbs :) But I think you can still see most of its beautiful blue/green/gold/silver holo goodness.

Flakie re-try

A little while back I got my first Zoya Maisie and if you read my post I didn't have the best experience with it. Well I finally put it over black and oh wow! All the blue and green shifts are just beautiful. I think I will let the polish speak for itself.

Is it fall yet?

I saw a wonderful post from Sonoma Nail Art a few weeks ago and wanted to try it out right away. It was eggs frying on hot pavement. Considering the heat today I thought it would be perfect to do. Of course mine looks nothing like hers but I try to take complicated things and simplify things. She used acrylic paint and of course her wonderful talent. I simplified it for myself and used a dotting tool and polish. Of course it doesn't look as good but they are so cute. My base or pavement is two coats of CG Stone Cold, the white of the egg is Milani White on the Spot ad the yolk is Shany Cosmetics nail art polish number 3. I hope you guys like it!
